Deborah-S.-Acosta-Cajustin

Deborah S. Acosta-Cajustin is a Senior Partner of the firm.  Her practice focuses on Tax, Corporate and Commercial, Mergers and Acquisitions, Banking and Project Finance, and Labor and Employment Law.

Ms. Acosta-Cajustin advises public and private companies on various taxation issues, including individual and corporate taxation, tax structuring and tax planning, estate planning and cross-border tax planning.   She also represents clients in tax litigation, both involving national and local government taxes.  She has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, loan negotiations, joint ventures, and stock and asset purchases in the Philippines for clients in various industries, including retail, real estate, mining and energy.

Ms. Acosta-Cajustin also regularly advises clients on labor law, data privacy law, intellectual property law and other corporate matters.

Ms. Acosta-Cajustin is a Certified Public Accountant.  She is a member of the faculty of the San Beda College Alabang School of Law and University of Makati School of Law where she teaches Taxation and Credit Transactions.

Ms. Acosta-Cajustin’s engagements include representation of:

  • Federal Land, Inc. in its joint venture fort the development of a residential condominium and a hotel/retail/office building and the operations of a hotel in Taguig City;
  • Panay Energy Development Corporation in the financing of its coal-fired power project in Iloilo;
  • Rockwell Land Corporation in its acquisition of real property for one of its prime residential condominium community projects; and
  • National Book Store, Inc. in its Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations and other corporate matters.
