PASIG CITY—The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) met with key representatives of the Energy Lawyers Association of the Philippines Inc. (ELAP) on Wednesday, 27 November 2024, to discuss strategies for enhancing the implementation of the ERC’s Omnibus Rules for Customer Choice Programs.
ERC Chairperson and CEO Monalisa C. Dimalanta, joined by Chief of Staff Atty. Alexandra Gamboa and Atty. Chiara Blanco of the Market Operations Service – Contestable Market Division, met with ELAP representatives led by Chairman Atty. Eric Puno of Puno Law. The meeting focused on empowerment of consumers with deep-dive sessions on retail power contracting with the support of ELAP volunteer lawyers.
Also in attendance were ELAP officials, including President Atty. Rassen Lopez of FirstGen Corporation and Trustees Atty. Celina R. Encarnacion of Alluma Energy Management Solutions, Atty. Gladys Nalda of GNN Law, Atty. Mike Mathay of Quiason and Makalintal Law, and Atty. Lethel Alburo-Mejia of Puno Law.
